Democracy Investment Fund (DIF) is a non-profit organization organized under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code and dedicated to strengthening and sustaining non-partisan democratic values in the United States. DIF focuses on long-term investment in civic infrastructure, including research, technology, and practical tools designed to reduce polarization, improve civic understanding, and support constructive engagement across differences. The Fund supports initiatives such as LSTN2U and works with prodemocracy organizations to deploy research and technology that help individuals and institutions navigate today’s civic environment, guided by the belief that democracy requires continual adaptation and long-term investment in durable systems rather than short-term political cycles.
